The 4 Free Amazon Luna Games for March

Amazon Luna, Amazon’s cloud gaming service, has been available in Spain since the end of last year. Thanks to it, Amazon Prime subscribers can enjoy some games via streaming at no additional cost. This service features 4 titles that remain permanently in your library, along with 4 others that rotate monthly. A few days ago, the new March games became available, and they are as follows:

Chicken Assassin Reloaded

Although described as a strategic action RPG, this title is more of a clicker where you simply mash the attack button. Strategy is limited to choosing which enemy to target first and little else. Your movement options are restricted to turning left or right to attack incoming enemies; you can’t move, jump, or anything else. Mechanically, there’s not much to highlight. The RPG elements involve spending experience points to unlock skills and choosing which items to equip or sell. However, the game definitely stands out visually with hand-painted style graphics featuring a grotesque aesthetic, perfectly matching the bizarre story of an anthropomorphic chicken rescuing his kidnapped girlfriend.

DRIFTCE

This is a drift racing simulator with a workshop mechanic similar to Car Mechanic Simulator. The construction and modification of vehicles are incredibly detailed, featuring over 1,800 components that need to be assembled in the correct order. This level of complexity distances it from casual players, targeting automotive mechanic enthusiasts instead. The driving mechanics are realistic, befitting a simulator, though the graphics leave much to be desired. While the vehicles are well-detailed, the tracks look rather basic. It’s likely an excellent choice for drift racing lovers or car simulation fans, but for the average player, it might not be very enjoyable.

Rescue Party: Live!

A local co-op game, also playable solo, where you control a rescue team during various disasters to save as many lives as possible. Scenarios range from collapses to earthquakes, fires, floods, and much more; each setting brings its unique rules and challenges. You’ll test not only your reflexes but also your coordination to progress. If you enjoy games like Overcooked, you’ll surely love this chaotic experience. Playing with friends guarantees fun; however, to join remotely, you’ll need a Luna+ subscription to use the Luna Couch feature. Otherwise, all players must be present and play on the same device. Luckily, thanks to its simple mechanics, up to two players can even share the same keyboard.

Trepang2

A single-player first-person shooter combining relentless action and stealth with some superhuman abilities, a good variety of melee attacks, and a vast arsenal of firearms. Graphically well-executed, it leans heavily on dark environments and features superb explosion and dismemberment effects. It balances dynamic, adrenaline-pumping combat reminiscent of the latest DOOM games with stealth sequences and even tinges of horror. It has received positive reviews on Metacritic, with an average score of 79. However, Steam ratings, which are more reliable since reviews can only be left by players, push that score up to 94%. A good metric to consider are the negative reviews, which are few and often come from users with low playtime who were either surprised by how scary the game was after expecting a standard FPS or felt it didn’t live up to being the FEAR successor it was promised to be. Weighing it all, it’s clear the game is well worth your time. Personally, I greatly enjoyed the hours I spent playing it and find it highly recommendable, especially since it’s free this month.
