The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition and Thief Free on Epic

Every week, Epic Games offers us games to redeem in their store. Sometimes just one, or other times more, ranging from small indie titles to major AAA releases. This week, they’ve surprised us with two great games, both highly regarded by the public and developed by very experienced studios. To redeem them, we simply need to log into the Epic store.

The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition

The successful action RPG and open-world game with a science fiction setting, developed by the talented Obsidian studio and published by Private Division, a publishing label belonging to Take-Two Interactive. Originally released for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in 2019, it debuted on PC through the Epic Games Store that same year and later arrived on GOG and Steam the following year. The Spacer’s Choice edition that Epic is giving away is a remastered version of the original game and includes several improvements, making it the best option to enjoy this award-winning title.

Improvements in the Spacer’s Choice Edition compared to the original game

  • The Spacer’s Choice Edition is the ultimate way to enjoy The Outer Worlds as it offers improved graphics and animations, as well as more striking environments thanks to enhanced texture resolution.
  • A higher maximum level cap, which translates to a greater variety of options when customizing our character’s skills.
  • Includes all expansions: Peril of Gorgon and Murder on Eridanos.

Thief

This is a highly atmospheric first-person action and stealth game with a remarkably dark and intriguing setting. It was developed by Eidos Montreal and hit the market 10 years ago. Initially released for Xbox 360 and Xbox One on February 25, 2014, it launched a few days later for PS3, PS4, and PC. Its reception was relatively moderate across all platforms, currently achieving 75% reviews on Steam and slightly lower on Metacritic, averaging 7 points. Although it went largely unnoticed at the time, this is a great opportunity to try it out without risking a single penny.

Whether you’re looking for adventures on other planets or movie-like heists in a city with a steampunk style, Epic has us covered with their free offerings. Both games provide an open world to explore solo and several hours of gameplay. There’s time until next Thursday, April 11 at 5 PM (Spanish time) to claim them.
