Amazon Luna Partners with GOG to Bring DRM-Free Gaming to the Cloud
Amazon recently announced a collaboration between its cloud gaming service, Amazon Luna, and GOG, the renowned DRM-free PC gaming marketplace. This partnership will allow users to stream their GOG library via Luna across devices. While the exact launch date for this feature remains unconfirmed, Amazon confirmed that existing GOG purchases will also be installable and playable offline through the GOG app.
This collaboration will significantly expand Luna’s game catalog, leveraging GOG’s library of over 9,000 titles—from indie gems to AAA blockbusters like Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher. Originally named Good Old Games, the DRM-free platform was founded in 2008 by Polish studio CD Projekt to support game preservation.
Developers with titles already on GOG can now bring their games to Luna to expand their audience and revenue. To do so, they must visit this link and complete the online form.
