Every week, the Epic Games Store gives us free games that we can keep forever simply by logging in and claiming them. This time, the gift is none other than a collection of the first entries in the Castlevania saga. Released in May 2019 to celebrate Konami’s 50th anniversary, this collection features 8 titles from the franchise, including one that was never released in the West.
The collection includes games from various platforms across different eras, such as the NES, Famicom, Game Boy, Super Nintendo, and Mega Drive. It also adds display modes to adapt the games for modern screens along with some exciting extras.
Additionally, there’s an option to choose from 3 different borders if playing in 4:3. Achievements have been added, as well as the ability to play the Japanese versions of each game (except Simon’s Quest) and a digital book packed with information about the games, interviews, original sketches, and never-before-seen design documents.
The second free game offered this week on the Epic Games Store is Snakebird Complete, a charming title that blends the classic snake game with puzzles, resulting in a truly unique experience. This too is a collection, combining the original game and its sequel, offering more than 120 levels to put your problem-solving skills to the test.
As always, there’s a limited time to claim these games. The deadline is this Thursday at 5:00 PM (CET), so head to the link and expand your collection!
