Spring cleanup: At the beginning of the season, we’ll rake all turf areas, clean up your annual and perennial beds, and remove landscape debris from your property.
Organic fertilization: Turf, trees, shrubs, and beds. We stress a naturalistic approach by using only premium organic slow-release fertilizers to encourage healthy root growth. Applied at the appropriate times throughout the seasons. Soil ph corrections will be made as needed.
Turf management: We’ll help your lawn maintain a healthy height by mowing 24-27 times throughout the season as weather conditions necessitate. We also help preserve and enhance the organic content of your soil by recycling as much of the grass clippings, needles and leaves as possible.
Plant bed care: We’ll hand-weed your annual and perennial beds as needed, and power edge the beds 2-3 times per season. Corn glutin will be applied to prevent weed germination. In season plantings of annuals in beds and containers can be arranged. We will consult with you on water issues including water saving drip irrigation installations.
Weed control: Our goal is to minimize the chemical impact on your landscape. We’ll “spot-treat” your turf and choose the safest and wisest remedies for your individual situation. A tree-safe pre-emergent crab grass control and broad leaf weed controls may be used if needed. Woodland and conservancy areas will be rogued of invasive species such as Buckthorn.
Integrated pest management: We strive to maintain a balance with our native surroundings and we’ll intervene only when certain thresholds have been reached. We’ll provide diagnoses and, when possible, organic preventives/treatments on a case-by-case basis. This will include animal repellants to reduce browsing damage.
Pruning: We prune first and foremost for the health of your shrubs, removing only dead branches, sucker growth, crossed branches, and dense growth in order to maintain your plants’ natural appearance.
Fall cleanup: Mid-October into November. Several visits to remove fallen leaves from lawn and paved areas. Utilizing fallen leaves to winterize beds, shrubs, and trees. Anti-desiccants will be applied to wind sensitive plants to minimize winter damage.

OTHER SERVICES:
Mulching: We recommend and supply premium shredded mulches and follow ILCA approved techniques in properly mulching your trees, shrubs, and planting beds. Any 'mulch volcanoes' around valuable trees and plantings will be corrected to ILCA standards.
Seeding and Core Aeration: We use premium seed blends and provide core aeration services to safely reduce thatch and improve the health of your turf.
